Project Engineer - Interiors

About the Role

Krafts is a design-focused contracting firm dedicated to crafting aesthetically pleasing and functional spaces. We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the complete execution of large-scale interior projects, ranging from initial planning stages through to final handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end management of large interior fit-out projects across commercial, hospitality, or residential sectors.
• Create and monitor detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Coordinate efforts among designers, architects, contractors, vendors, and onsite teams to ensure alignment with design intent.
• Oversee procurement and delivery timelines for materials, furniture, and fixtures critical to the project.
• Regularly conduct site inspections to assess progress, maintain quality standards, and enforce safety compliance.
• Anticipate project risks and address delays, cost issues, or scope modifications proactively.
• Act as the primary liaison for clients to communicate project status and resolve issues.
• Prepare comprehensive progress reports, financial updates, and key documentation for stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to applicable building codes, safety protocols, and quality benchmarks.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Minimum of five years' experience in project management, including delivery of two to three large-scale interior projects from start to finish.
• In-depth knowledge of construction sequencing, material selection, and interior fit-out techniques.
• Demonstrated capability in managing multiple vendors, contractors, and cross-functional teams.
• Strong skills in budgeting, project scheduling, and negotiation.
• Working knowledge of project management software such as MS Project or Primavera, alongside familiarity with CAD documentation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to manage diverse stakeholders effectively.
• PMP certification is advantageous.

Preferred Additional Experience

• Experience executing large commercial, hospitality, or retail fit-out projects.
• Knowledge of sustainable and green building methodologies.
• Managing budgets in the multi-crore range.

Compensation

The monthly salary for this position ranges between 25,000 and 100,000 INR.
