Job description
Job Summary
The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for overseeing cost control activities, performing measurements, and managing contract-related tasks for infrastructure initiatives, specifically in civil engineering projects.
Key Duties
- Prepare interim payment applications, measurement sheets, and comprehensive cost reports.
- Review and verify contract documents ensuring adherence to established cost parameters.
- Measure completed works and draft Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for variations or additional tasks.
- Support claims preparation, variations handling, and commercial negotiation processes.
- Monitor cost performance throughout the project lifecycle and report any discrepancies or deviations.
- Assess contractor invoices and contribute to contract administration activities.
Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering.
- Holds between 5 to 10 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably with a focus on road or highway projects.
- Demonstrates solid expertise in FIDIC contract conditions, contract management, and cost-control techniques.
- Exhibits strong analytical skills, thorough documentation practices, and effective negotiation capabilities.
