Role Overview

Responsibilities
- Dive into market data using mathematical, statistical, and programming tools to explore and validate trading ideas.
- Engage in the quantitative project lifecycle, from conceiving an idea to implementing it alongside technologists for backtesting and production deployment.
- Discover new market patterns that could develop into viable trading signals.
- Collaborate continuously with traders, researchers, and strategists to refine and optimize trading strategies.
- Participate in ongoing research to improve the performance of embedded trading signals.
- Benefit from an extensive orientation program that bridges academic knowledge and industry practices, including options pricing, proprietary data techniques, and data analysis skills.
- Leverage the open, interactive trading floor environment for continuous learning and exchanging ideas.
Candidate Profile
- Must hold a PhD in a quantitatively intensive field such as mathematics, physics, statistics, electrical engineering, computer science, operations research, or economics.
- Demonstrate outstanding mathematical problem-solving ability.
- Possess excellent communication skills tailored to dynamic, collaborative environments.
- Exhibit solid practical computing capabilities with an emphasis on efficiency and reliability rather than specific programming languages.
- Have experience conducting comprehensive research projects.
- Prior finance industry experience is not mandatory.
- Visa sponsorship is provided for eligible candidates.
