Role Summary
The Trading Technology team in Dublin is seeking a C++ Strategy Developer. This role involves architecting, constructing, and enhancing high-frequency trading systems that handle vast data streams instantaneously. You will collaborate with seasoned technologists and quantitative analysts, gaining an in-depth understanding of the automated decision-making processes driving global financial markets. Although prior trading experience is advantageous, it is not a strict prerequisite.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and design high-speed, high-capacity trading applications utilizing modern C++ standards in a live environment.
- Work in partnership with quantitative researchers and technology teams to create and improve trading strategies.
- Optimize systems to maximize performance, reliability, and scalability within a highly competitive trading arena.
- Investigate and resolve performance bottlenecks relating to latency and throughput within the infrastructure.
- Manage the entire software development lifecycle from conception through deployment, contributing to long-term system architecture and toolsets.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Academic degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar technical discipline.
- Professional experience in building performance-sensitive applications using modern C++ (versions 11, 14, 17, or 20).
- Expertise in multi-threading, memory handling, inter-process communication, STL, Boost libraries, and network/socket programming.
- Strong background in performance analysis, profiling techniques, and system optimization.
- Experience or familiarity with designing systems that perform efficiently in real-time settings; experience in the trading or financial sectors is a plus but not mandatory.
- A strong enthusiasm for addressing challenging technical problems, rapid iteration, and producing clean, maintainable code.
