Based near Tewkesbury, this growing precision engineering firm specializes in manufacturing premium CNC milled and turned components used in critical applications worldwide. They are seeking a Quality Inspector to join their tight-knit quality team on a permanent basis. Role Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of CNC machined parts including milling, turning, and grinding processes. You will perform first-off and in-process inspections using a variety of precision measuring tools such as micrometers, gauges, vernier calipers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and form tracers to ensure components meet stringent dimensional and quality standards.
Candidate Requirements
Applicants should have practical experience (ideally over two years, though strong candidates with less experience are encouraged to apply) as a Quality Inspector within a CNC machining environment. Confidence and competence in using precision measurement instruments and interpreting engineering drawings is essential. A strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality outputs are key to success.
Working Conditions and Compensation
This permanent role requires a 39-hour workweek on day shifts, with Fridays finishing at lunchtime and opportunities for overtime. The workplace is equipped with modern, well-maintained equipment with easy access to tooling and technical support. The salary range is approximately A332,000 to A336,000 per annum, dependent on experience, with formal yearly salary reviews.
