Quality Control Inspector

Job Overview

The Quality Control (QC) Inspector will be responsible for conducting detailed quality inspections during cell operations, specifically involving gas turbine components. The role encompasses performing incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure repair quality and documenting findings in technical reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out incoming and final inspections of gas turbine parts to detect any nonconformities or defects.
• Analyze, measure, and assess inspection outcomes against relevant codes, standards, and specifications.
• Adhere strictly to company policies, safety guidelines, and quality compliance standards, actively promoting Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) on the workshop floor.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Possess a technical diploma complemented by relevant work experience.
• Understand manufacturing operations’ EHS and quality principles.
• Competent in reading and interpreting Work Instructions and Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.
• Skilled in composing technical reports.
• Able to interpret technical drawings and documents.
• Proficient with MS Office applications.

Preferred Attributes

• Extensive knowledge of quality, safety standards, shop computer systems, and workshop support requirements.
• At least five years experience in quality inspection.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and Repair Engineering Instructions (REIs).
• Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and dial indicators.
• Certification in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).
• Familiarity with SAP software is advantageous.
• Good command of English, both spoken and written.
