Quality Assurance Specialist

About the Role

This role is embedded within the Quality Assurance team responsible for enhancing operational quality, consistency, and continuous improvement. The position operates under a hybrid work model based in the Eastern Region, Uganda.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and update quality assurance processes and guidelines ensuring compliance and operational uniformity.
• Perform audits and quality assessments to verify adherence to defined service standards and procedures.
• Detect quality patterns, conduct root cause analysis, and propose corrective measures for performance enhancement.
• Lead business process evaluations and drive projects aimed at optimizing and standardizing operations.
• Oversee cross-departmental quality improvement initiatives, handling planning, coordination, risk assessment, and execution.
• Create and sustain standard operating procedures, workflow documentation, and related quality manuals.
• Collaborate with technology teams to identify and implement automation and AI tools to boost efficiency and consistency.
• Track and analyze quality and project performance metrics, delivering insights and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least two years of experience in quality assurance, process enhancement, project management, or related business operations.
• Proven record of managing multi-stakeholder projects and collaborating across functions.
• Skilled in developing and refining business processes and quality documentation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strong data analysis capabilities to identify trends and support ongoing improvement efforts.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with automation tools such as Microsoft Power Automate, Power Apps, or UiPath.
• Familiarity with AI tools like Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or other generative AI platforms in business applications.
• Knowledge of business intelligence tools including Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Understanding of methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, Scrum, or Project Management frameworks.
• Experience in regulated sectors such as healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or manufacturing.
