Key Responsibilities

• Utilize AI tools and coding assistants such as Cursor, Copilot, and Claude Code to accelerate creation of automated tests, produce test data, and manage regression suites.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts within existing frameworks for cloud platform features.
• Apply intermediate Closed Box testing techniques, including decision tables, state-transition, and pairwise testing, complemented by foundational Open Box techniques like code reviews and coverage analysis to identify defects early.
• Lead and govern daily quality activities within the feature team, offering guidance and support.
• Integrate automated tests into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous quality validation and smooth release cycles.
• Engage collaboratively with Product Managers and Developers in discovery sessions using BDD/TDD methodologies to define acceptance criteria and test coverage early.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• A minimum of 2 years professional experience in software quality engineering and a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
• Hands-on expertise creating automated tests with contemporary frameworks and languages such as C#, .NET, Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
• Strong grasp of intermediate closed box testing methods (like state-transition, decision tables, domain analysis) and familiarity with open box testing practices.
• Experience using BDD and TDD techniques to enhance test design and execution.
• Keen interest or experience leveraging AI-driven tools to enhance test creation efficiency.
• Technical capabilities in SQL Server/relational databases for data validation and experience testing REST APIs using tools like Postman.

Preferred Additional Experience

• Prior involvement with AI Agentic Test Development practices.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as Azure or AWS and related infrastructure concepts.
• Experience testing non-functional requirements including performance or security aspects.
• Background in validating software solutions tailored for the construction industry.

Work Environment and Location

This position is based in Cork, Ireland and currently offers remote work with plans to expand local collaboration opportunities.
