Job description
Overview and Role
The Quality Assurance Executive is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and auditing procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and company quality standards. This role supports a moderately complex facility by reviewing third-party certifications and managing responses to customer inspections, inquiries, and complaints related to quality and food safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage internal audits such as Corporate Food Safety Audits and conduct customer audits.
- Perform annual verification of the Quality Food Safety Management System (QFSMS), including mock recalls to verify traceability.
- Carry out food safety risk assessments and maintain an up-to-date HACCP Plan.
- Monitor deviations from required standards to uphold certifications including Rainforest Alliance, RSPO, FSSC 22000, Halal, BPJPH, and Kosher.
- Lead the Customer Complaint Team, conducting thorough investigations and implementing corrective and preventive actions to resolve complaints.
- Prepare Customer Complaint Reports and ensure all findings are properly documented.
- Plan and execute yearly internal audits with follow-up on findings to ensure closure.
- Conduct Quality Food Safety Management Reviews related to factory certifications.
- Serve as a Qualified Personnel responsible for issuing QP Forms for Food Export Certificate Applications.
- Adhere to environmental operational control instructions.
- Assist with various quality-related tasks as needed.
- Ensure the dissemination and implementation of QA procedures across relevant departments prior to enforcement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in email communication, spreadsheet, presentation, and word processing software.
- Preferred diploma in Food Science and Technology or Microbiology with at least three years of experience in the food industry.
- Completion of food safety and quality-related trainings such as Food Safety Level 3 or 4 and FSSC 22000.
- Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work fully onsite at the Tuas location.
