Job description
Overview
This full-time position based in London, Ontario, involves working as a Licensed Millwright responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment to ensure safe and efficient plant operations. The role operates under a Build Operate Maintain category and offers shift options on either the 1st or 2nd shift.
Compensation
The hourly pay ranges between $41.50 and $45.00.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment to support smooth production processes.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems effectively.
- Operate motorized vehicles and mechanical equipment safely.
- Adhere strictly to all safety, food safety, and environmental guidelines.
- Fulfill additional duties assigned as part of the maintenance team.
Candidate Requirements
- Must possess a valid Millwright License.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and working in extreme temperature conditions.
- Flexible to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and across various shifts.
- Proficient in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Comfortable working in elevated locations (4 feet or higher) and confined spaces.
- Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in manufacturing or production settings.
- Additional certifications such as welding and forklift operation.
- Familiarity with Maintenance Repair and Operations (MRO) and Materials Resource Planning (MRP) systems.
- Knowledge of predictive and preventative maintenance techniques.
