Quality Analyst - Manual & Automation Tester

Overview

We are seeking a proficient Quality Assurance Engineer with 2-3 years of solid experience in both manual and automated testing to ensure the robustness and performance of web, mobile, API, and AI-driven applications. The role involves creating comprehensive test plans, executing various testing types, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business needs, user stories, and specifications to formulate effective test strategies and detailed plans.
• Create, implement, and maintain test cases and scenarios for multiple application types including AI-enabled solutions.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, exploratory, performance, and user acceptance testing.
• Develop and sustain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Appium, and enhance automation frameworks for efficiency.
• Integrate automation tests within CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and delivery.
• Conduct API testing utilizing Postman, Rest Assured, and perform database validations using SQL.
• Verify AI application behaviours such as chatbots and intelligent workflows, ensuring output accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
• Identify, log, prioritize, and track defects throughout their lifecycle, coordinating with development teams for fixes and retesting.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, AI Engineers, and Product Managers throughout software development processes.
• Prepare QA progress reports and contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 2-3 years of proven experience in manual and automated testing.
• Deep understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and defect management.
• Hands-on expertise with automation tools including Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Appium.
• Proficient in API testing tools such as Postman or Rest Assured and SQL for database validation.
• Skilled in at least one programming/scripting language such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
• Experience with defect tracking software like Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with version control and CI/CD tools like Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Basic knowledge of AI/ML concepts, prompt testing, and evaluating Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Strong analytical thinking, debugging abilities, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Eligibility

Applicants should hold a B.Tech or B.E. degree specializing in Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Science and Business Systems, or Information Technology.
