About the Role

We are seeking a qualified accountant to join our client’s accounts team. This generalist position is suited for individuals wanting to expand their expertise in financial statement preparation, tax compliance, and audit involvement. The role offers practical experience managing diverse clients and strong ongoing professional development assistance.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
• Complete tax compliance assignments including VAT, Corporation Tax, and Income Tax filings.
• Participate in statutory audit activities and provide audit support.
• Produce monthly and quarterly management accounts.
• Engage with clients to address daily queries and offer proactive advice.
• Ensure adherence to applicable accounting and tax regulations.
• Assist junior team members and contribute to their training when required.
• Carry out additional tasks and projects as assigned by partners or senior staff.

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified or part-qualified with ACCA, ACA, or CPA credentials.
• Over two years of experience working in an Irish accountancy practice.
• Proficient in accounts preparation, tax compliance, with some audit exposure.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Irish tax laws and accounting standards.
• Meticulous attention to detail with strong problem-solving and organisational abilities.
• Able to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Excellent communication skills combined with a client-oriented approach.
