QCC Safety & Maintenance Technician

Overview

At Papa John's, we believe diversity enriches our team and propels us forward. As a Safety and Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing production and facility equipment to optimize operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safety orientations to new hires and oversee ongoing safety training including annual refreshers, first aid/CPR, and required safety programs; conduct program audits and enforce compliance.
• Continuously monitor facility safety conditions, take necessary corrective action, and lead or support incident investigations; assist the Director during OSHA inspections.
• Perform and document daily hazard assessments and weekly collaborative hazard checks; ensure quarterly safety self-audits are completed and reported to the Safety Director weekly.
• Maintain detailed safety documentation such as OSHA 300 logs, safety files, training records, work permits, and lockout/tagout protocols.
• Collaborate with Operations by participating in safety meetings, conferences, webinars, and committees; contribute by providing weekly safety topics and updates.
• Maintain communication regarding facility needs, safety issues, workers' compensation data provided by Corporate Safety, and keep leadership informed on safety program status.
• Act as the liaison with Corporate Safety Team and Risk Management for workers’ compensation claims; ensure timely accident reporting, collect witness statements, oversee medical documentation, manage leave paperwork, and facilitate return-to-work processes.
• Support root cause analyses for incidents, verify corrective action implementation, and validate thoroughness and accuracy of related documentation.
• Establish and maintain relationships with the facility’s occupational health clinic.
• OSHA-30 training and Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification are favorable but not mandatory.
