Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated QAQC Inspector to join our expanding team in Singapore. The role focuses on ensuring all project activities comply with established specifications, quality standards, and regulatory mandates by conducting inspections, verifying adherence, overseeing testing procedures, and maintaining detailed quality documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure construction contractors and personnel strictly follow Health, Safety, Environment and Security policies, site regulations, permit protocols, and client mandates.
- Confirm all contractors abide by the latest approved construction drawings, specifications, inspection test plans, procedures, and quality plans.
- Oversee Health, Safety, Environment and Security aspects and quality within allocated zones, ensuring project schedules are met.
- Collaborate with contractor supervisors, planning engineers, and construction engineers to develop detailed daily and weekly work plans aligned with the overall schedule and quality requirements.
- Report to the Discipline Superintendent on any program adjustments needed due to site conditions, quality controls, or material preservation needs.
- Monitor workforce discipline and attendance, address disciplinary concerns, manage non-conformance reports and inform superintendents accordingly.
- Prioritize execution order and allocate resources efficiently to resolve conflicts on site.
- Demonstrate resourcefulness in managing available manpower and materials optimally.
- Support safety efforts by organizing toolbox talks, safety audits, meetings, and promotional activities.
- Assist in risk assessments, job safety analyses, developing safety procedures, and maintaining safety documentation.
- Coordinate with site operations and construction management on health and safety matters.
- Take overall responsibility for piping activities on site, ensuring adherence to schedule and client expectations.
- Supervise subcontractor activities related to scaffolding erection, dismantling, and modifications, ensuring compliance with local and environmental health and safety regulations.
- Advise the construction management team on significant observations or issues encountered during site activities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Extensive experience in roles including field engineering, project control, quality control, contract administration, supervision, safety, and commissioning, totaling at least 10 years in process or utility/power construction sectors.
- Strong knowledge of engineering and construction methodologies, tools, equipment, codes, documents, drawings, and control systems.
- Certification in relevant inspection crafts is highly desirable.
- Preferably completed Singapore Workplace Safety and Health training programmes.
