Role Overview

We seek a meticulous and skilled QA Automation Engineer to join our quality assurance team. The role involves working on automation testing across Web UI, API, and Mobile platforms utilizing modern frameworks like Playwright and Detox with TypeScript. The position combines hands-on test automation duties with manual testing responsibilities during release cycles.

Key Duties

• Create and sustain dependable, scalable automation scripts for Web UI end-to-end testing using Playwright.
• Automate API testing for RESTful service endpoints.
• Develop mobile UI end-to-end automated tests for iOS and Android platforms using Detox.
• Conduct performance and load testing as per product requirements leveraging tools such as k6.
• Collaborate closely with developers and product teams to comprehend features and determine test coverages.
• Perform manual exploratory and regression testing to ensure business readiness during release cycles.
• Participate in designing, reviewing, and maintaining both manual and automated test cases.
• Support test planning, defect triage processes, and quality reporting activities.
• Integrate automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines, ensuring reliable execution.
• Assist with test data preparation and validate environments.
• Analyze automation failures to identify root causes and recommend enhancements.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum of three years experience in automation testing encompassing Web, API, and Mobile platforms.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual testing, particularly exploratory and end-to-end regression testing.
• Strong programming skills in TypeScript or JavaScript and experience with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Detox, and BDD tools like Cucumber.
• Comprehensive understanding of REST API testing methodologies.
• Practical experience working with CI/CD tools, especially Azure DevOps.
• Excellent communication and collaboration capabilities across technical and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• ISTQB Foundation level certification or higher.
• Experience testing mobile applications on physical devices or cloud platforms such as LambdaTest.
• Knowledge of performance testing utilities like k6 or JMeter.
