About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Python Developer to join our expanding technology team. This position involves designing and building scalable, cloud-native applications along with data-driven solutions. Ideally, candidates should have robust experience in Python programming coupled with substantial hands-on expertise in AWS technologies. You will engage in end-to-end development activities, spanning from solution design through deployment and ongoing production support.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and enhance scalable Python applications and services.
- Develop and deploy solutions native to the AWS cloud environment.
- Build RESTful APIs, backend services, and event-driven applications.
- Utilize AWS offerings including Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS, and SNS effectively.
- Design and implement architectures based on serverless computing and containerization.
- Produce clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code suitable for production.
- Write automated tests including unit, integration, and performance tests.
- Participate actively in technical design discussions and architectural planning.
- Develop and uphold CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes.
- Monitor application performance post-deployment and address issues promptly.
- Work collaboratively with teams from engineering, architecture, product, and DevOps domains.
- Drive adherence to high engineering standards through robust documentation and development best practices.
Required Experience and Skills
- Proven commercial experience building production-grade Python applications.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in Python development.
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS platform and services.
- Proficient in designing and developing APIs and microservices architectures.
- Strong knowledge of serverless applications and cloud-native architectural principles.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as Pytest.
- Experience working with Docker and containerized application development.
- Understanding of CI/CD tools and modern deployment strategies.
- Knowledge of software design concepts, security considerations, and application performance optimization.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication capabilities.
Desirable Skills and Additional Expertise
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes or AWS EKS orchestration.
- Knowledge of data processing technologies and event-driven architectures.
- Experience using AWS monitoring tools such as CloudWatch and X-Ray.
- Possession of AWS certification is advantageous.
- Experience working within Agile development environments.
