Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated PYP Teacher to join our primary education team. This role involves designing and implementing high-quality, inquiry-based transdisciplinary units aligned with the IB PYP framework. The teacher will foster a stimulating, inclusive environment that encourages student agency, curiosity, and a lifelong passion for learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive, transdisciplinary inquiry units according to the IB PYP curriculum.
• Create a student-focused and inclusive classroom atmosphere that nurtures engagement and independence.
• Utilize diverse formative and summative assessments to track and support pupil growth effectively.
• Collaborate closely with grade-level peers and subject specialists to plan, analyze, and enhance instructional units.
• Integrate the IB learner profile attributes, PYP attitudes, and essential elements consistently into teaching and learning processes.
• Champion student voice, agency, and global-mindedness throughout all school activities.
• Establish meaningful relationships with parents to actively involve them in their children's educational journey.
• Contribute positively to the broader school community, including participation in events, professional development, and school improvement efforts.

Candidate Qualifications and Attributes

• Possess a recognized teaching certification such as PGCE, QTS, B.Ed, or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience teaching within an IB PYP school environment.
• In-depth understanding of the PYP curriculum, including units of inquiry and transdisciplinary methodologies.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated instruction centered on students’ needs.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal capabilities.
• Dedicated to ongoing reflective practice and professional development.
• Committed to ensuring safeguarding and child protection standards are upheld.
• Desirable qualifications include IB PYP workshop training and prior experience in international school settings.
