Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and competent PYP ICT Teacher to join our team. This role involves planning and delivering exceptional inquiry-based Computing and ICT lessons aligned with the IB PYP framework. The teacher will integrate technology effectively within the Programme of Inquiry to encourage student creativity, confidence, and responsible digital citizenship.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging, inquiry-driven ICT lessons within the IB PYP framework.
• Collaborate with homeroom and specialist teachers to foster student creativity, agency, and transdisciplinary learning through technology.
• Progressively enhance students’ abilities in coding, computational thinking, digital design, robotics, and emerging technologies.
• Create authentic, project- and problem-based learning experiences encouraging investigation, creation, testing, and evaluation.
• Promote digital citizenship, online safety, data privacy, academic integrity, and ethical AI use.
• Lead enrichment initiatives, clubs, and extracurricular events that elevate ICT engagement among students.
• Contribute to curriculum development, assessment moderation, and overall school life.

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a recognized teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE/PGDE, or equivalent) and a Bachelor’s degree in ICT or a related field.
• Previous teaching experience with the IB PYP and/or MYP.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging, creative, and well-structured lessons.
• Experience integrating technology into inquiry-based and transdisciplinary learning environments is highly desirable.
• Proficiency or practical experience in coding, computational thinking, digital design, and/or robotics is preferred.
• Understanding of digital citizenship principles, emerging technologies, and responsible AI applications is highly valued.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively work alongside teachers across various subjects and grade levels.
• A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
• Fluent English speaker (native or near-native level) with eligibility to work in Qatar.
