Purchase Manager

Job Overview

We seek a Purchase Manager specialized in aquaculture to join our team. The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in disciplines such as Aquaculture, Fisheries Science, Fish Nutrition, Marine Science, Animal Nutrition, or a closely related domain. Additionally, 2 to 3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement within related sectors is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage procurement processes focusing on aquafeed raw materials including soy lecithin, sunflower lecithin, hydrolyzed soy lecithin, rice and maize DDGS, soybean meal/DOC, rice bran, paddy, fish meal, mixed dry fish, chicken meal, blood meal, chicken oil, feed-grade and chelated minerals, amino acid complexes, hydrolyzed proteins, additives, and nutrients.
• Lead supplier identification and vendor development initiatives to expand and optimize sourcing channels.
• Conduct price negotiations and perform detailed commodity market analysis to ensure competitive procurement costs.
• Verify raw material specifications and quality compliance by reviewing certificates of analysis (COA).
• Handle both domestic and international procurement dealings, including import procedures.
• Coordinate inventory planning and maintain effective cost control measures.

Candidate Profile and Preferred Experience

• Educational background in aquaculture or closely related fields as stated above.
• Minimum 2 years and up to 3 years relevant experience in purchasing or procurement roles related to aquaculture, aquafeed, animal feed, or similar raw material industries.
• Strong technical knowledge of aquafeed raw materials and industry dynamics.
