Public Cloud Engineer

Job Overview

This role focuses on supporting cloud engineering projects and initiatives to drive successful outcomes. Collaboration with team members is vital to implement and maintain effective cloud solutions. The engineer will engage in troubleshooting and enhancing the performance of cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cloud engineering projects to ensure their success.
• Work closely with peers to deploy and sustain cloud infrastructure and solutions.
• Provide support in diagnosing and optimizing cloud service performance.
• Create and share comprehensive documentation outlining technical analyses and cloud best practices.
• Engage in analyzing cloud costs and contribute towards cost-saving strategies.
• Participate actively in the planning and carrying out of cloud testing and experiments.
• Support junior colleagues by addressing technical issues and facilitating their learning.
• Keep abreast of emerging cloud technologies and industry standards.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or an equivalent blend of education and experience.
• At least five years of industry experience, including a minimum of two years in a comparable cloud or software engineering position.
• Competency in one or more programming languages and familiarity with software development methodologies.
• Basic proficiency in coding and debugging techniques.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms and best practice implementations.
• Good communication and collaborative skills.
• Possessing an advanced degree is advantageous.
• Relevant certifications and hands-on experience with cloud providers such as AWS or Azure are a plus.
