Proposals Engineer

Overview

Glanua is seeking a Proposals Engineer based at their head office in Loughrea, County Galway. This role offers a competitive salary and an opportunity to join a dynamic, expanding company.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare tender and pre-qualification documentation aimed at securing upcoming projects.
• Conduct detailed quantity take-offs for materials and equipment requirements.
• Compile Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and ensure comprehensive supplier responses.
• Create detailed design plans and develop accurate bills of quantities.
• Write detailed bid documents and review submissions before their delivery.
• Serve as a liaison between Mechanical & Electrical and Civil & Structural designers.
• Produce method statements to support project execution.
• Engage with suppliers for procurement activities following detailed take-offs.
• Evaluate received RFQs and prepare comparative charts to support supplier and subcontractor selection.
• Communicate with clients to maintain project alignment and expectations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree holder in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar proposals engineer role.
• Strong time management skills to meet deadlines efficiently.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
