Overview
Glanua is seeking a Proposals Engineer based at their head office in Loughrea, County Galway. This role offers a competitive salary and an opportunity to join a dynamic, expanding company.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare tender and pre-qualification documentation aimed at securing upcoming projects.
- Conduct detailed quantity take-offs for materials and equipment requirements.
- Compile Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and ensure comprehensive supplier responses.
- Create detailed design plans and develop accurate bills of quantities.
- Write detailed bid documents and review submissions before their delivery.
- Serve as a liaison between Mechanical & Electrical and Civil & Structural designers.
- Produce method statements to support project execution.
- Engage with suppliers for procurement activities following detailed take-offs.
- Evaluate received RFQs and prepare comparative charts to support supplier and subcontractor selection.
- Communicate with clients to maintain project alignment and expectations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree holder in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar proposals engineer role.
- Strong time management skills to meet deadlines efficiently.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
