Role Location and Hours

This position is based at Radius St Allisa, 46 Main South Rd, Sockburn, Christchurch 8042. The role requires working 40 hours weekly, Monday through Friday.

Role Summary

The Property Maintenance Person is responsible for ensuring that the facility and surrounding grounds are maintained to a high standard. Duties include executing maintenance as specified in the annual plan, performing minor carpentry, painting, and redecoration tasks, communicating with residents and facility management to address maintenance concerns, and overseeing external contractors to ensure quality and compliance.

Qualifications and Experience

• Trade Certificate in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience in a similar maintenance role.
• Basic understanding of health and safety standards and building systems.
• Proven skills in minor carpentry, painting, and redecoration work.
• Experience in general property and grounds maintenance, including repairs.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, systematic approach to work.
• Holds a valid New Zealand Driver’s License.
• Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to complete certification.
