Job description

Overview

Join Savills Asset Management at our Christchurch office as a Property & Facilities Manager, where you will be instrumental in overseeing the daily management and performance of a commercial property portfolio. This hands-on position involves property administration, facilities oversight, financial management, and active stakeholder engagement to ensure the properties are well-maintained, compliant with regulations, and operationally efficient.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer lease activities including renewals, extensions, rent assessments, and variations.
  • Coordinate with landlords, tenants, and legal representatives to uphold lease terms and compliance.
  • Develop and reconcile annual operating expenditure (OPEX) budgets.
  • Process contractor invoices and track spending against the budget.
  • Manage routine building maintenance and repairs.
  • Oversee contractors and service agreements performance based on SLAs.
  • Ensure adherence to Health & Safety standards and building regulations.
  • Monitor and manage arrears effectively.
  • Report on property-related risks, incidents, and compliance requirements.

Candidate Profile

  • Previous experience in property or facilities management is essential.
  • Proficient in lease administration, budgeting, facilities management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Customer-focused with strong commitment to stakeholder service excellence.
  • Proactive problem solver with solution-driven decision-making skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management capabilities to juggle multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, comfortable engaging a variety of stakeholders.
  • Energetic, motivated with a positive outlook and dedication to results.
