Role Overview
The Project Scheduler works within the Operations Division at Houle's Burnaby head office to enhance project execution by formulating, updating, and optimizing comprehensive construction schedules throughout all project phases—from initial planning to completion. The role demands close coordination with project teams and clients, ensuring precise planning, monitoring, and reporting of timelines and resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed master schedules using Oracle Primavera Cloud software.
- Analyze client-submitted schedules, providing constructive feedback on activity sequencing and estimated durations.
- Identify critical path tasks and propose strategies to mitigate potential delays.
- Track schedule deviations and communicate their impacts on project costs and timings.
- Prepare various scheduling reports, including look-ahead schedules and resource allocation analyses.
- Engage in site coordination meetings and assist field teams by offering scheduling expertise.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on scheduling processes and software tools.
Desired Experience and Skills
- At least three years' experience in construction scheduling, ideally within electrical, healthcare, or industrial sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience as an electrical Project Manager or Field Supervisor.
- Solid understanding of electrical systems, components, terminology, and construction workflows.
- Familiarity with installation sequences for electrical construction projects.
- Proficiency in scheduling platforms; experience with Oracle Primavera Cloud is preferred.
- Knowledge of Procore and PowerBI software tools is advantageous.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Adaptability to evolving project requirements and commitment to continuous improvement.

Compensation
The annual salary range for this position is between $60,000 and $80,000, complemented by a competitive total compensation package. Final salary will be determined based on candidate experience, skills, and suitability for the role.
