About the Role

Join Parsons as a Project Manager in Qatar, where you will oversee large-scale infrastructure construction projects from management through design and administration. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all facets of project activities to ensure timely delivery and budget adherence.
• Lead a substantial project management team consisting of professionals from various disciplines.
• Ensure strict compliance with Health & Safety and Environmental Protection regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Regularly track project progress, foresee challenges, and implement adjustments to maintain scheduled timelines.
• Generate and present comprehensive reports detailing project status, risks, opportunities, and measured performance indicators.
• Adhere to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices across all project operations.
• Manage project finances to optimize resource allocation effectively and prudently.
• Identify potential risks and execute risk mitigation strategies during project execution.
• Evaluate technical and financial proposals for feasibility and constructability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues encountered during construction phases.
• Apply expertise in international construction and contract law, alongside contract administration and personnel management.
• Interpret relevant codes, statutes, and regulations to ensure compliance.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution, complemented by professional certifications recognized internationally and approved by the Engineer.
• At least 20 years of post-graduate experience, including a minimum of 12 years in managerial or technical leadership roles.
• Demonstrated extensive experience managing construction supervision, design, and administration of major infrastructure projects, particularly sewerage and water network systems.
• Proficient in handling health, safety, and environmental facets of similar infrastructure constructions.
• Background in managing open cut and micro tunneling sewerage, surface, and groundwater projects under Design & Build contracts.
• Proven track record in evaluating technical and financial proposals, ensuring constructability, deploying technology, and addressing technical challenges during project execution.
• Exceptional leadership skills to manage and inspire an interdisciplinary project team.
• Deep understanding and capability to guide work in line with staff responsibilities and project requirements.
• Membership in accredited Project Management institutions is advantageous.
• Chartered Engineer status in the UK or equivalent professional recognition is preferred.

Desired Skills and Attributes

• Fluency in English, with strong written and verbal communication and technical writing abilities.
• Leadership skills to motivate and direct a diverse team of technical and professional supervision staff within a consultant capacity on Design & Build projects.
• Mandatory computer proficiency demonstrating effective technological engagement.
• Experience in Qatar and/or the Gulf region is strongly preferred.
