About the Role
Join Parsons Corporation as a Contracts Administrator working full-time for a five-year engagement on the prestigious Riyadh Metro project. Located at the Head Office in Riyadh, this role requires occasional city travel to assess on-site progress. The ideal candidate is a senior professional with extensive expertise in construction contract negotiations and claims management.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support project executives, leaders, and managers by monitoring and controlling contracted services to ensure effectiveness, compliance with regulations, and achievement of expected results.
- Coordinate all aspects of contract administration, including handling claims, disputes, contract interpretation, and conducting cost analyses.
- Develop and manage systems/procedures to monitor contracts internally and externally, resolving compliance issues promptly and efficiently.
- Advise on construction contract procurement strategies and various contract types and agreements.
- Drive continuous enhancements in commercial processes by refining contract formulation systems and procedures.
- Identify potential claims, verify contractual compliance, and negotiate settlements effectively.
- Prepare claims documentation to negotiate with contractors, calculating losses due to contract defaults and proposing remedies for breach of obligations.
- Supervise the financial budget ensuring contracts are cost-effective and provide good value for money.
- Oversee financial contract management tasks including reviewing and approving payment certificates and invoicing between subcontractors and clients.
- Co-manage a skilled team specializing in contract administration.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Construction, or related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 15 years of post-qualification experience in heavy civil projects.
- Proven senior experience managing contract administration or claims/quantity surveying teams handling major contractual disputes.
- Background in contractor management, engineering consultancy, or claims consultancy with expertise in contracts, procurement, dispute resolution, and expert witness testimony.
- Comprehensive involvement throughout project life cycles including contractual frameworks, cost estimation, site and cost management, contract administration, and dispute handling.
- In-depth knowledge of FIDIC contracts or equivalent standards.
- Experience cultivating strong, high-level professional relationships.
- Excellent command of English with strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Capability to critically evaluate situations and confidently guide team members.
- Proficiency with contract administration-related PC software.
- Experience in rail or rail-related projects.
- Professional accreditations such as MRICS, FRICS, MInstCES, ACIArb, or LLM.
