Role Overview
This position is for a full-time Project Manager based in Alice Springs, Northern Territory, with a flexible hybrid work arrangement that includes remote days. The key responsibility is to steer fire and security projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and scopes. The role involves coordinating resources and logistics, managing schedules, tracking project progress, and fostering effective communication among internal teams, suppliers, and clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead project initiation and execution for fire and security solutions ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within designated budgets.
- Coordinate logistics, resource allocation, and scheduling across various project sites.
- Maintain clear and continuous communication with internal stakeholders, clients, and suppliers to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Review project specifications, organize and oversee site inspections, and handle documentation thoroughly.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks and challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure all activities comply with safety and quality standards.
- Cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships from project initiation to completion.
Requirements
- Proven capability in managing projects including planning, execution, progress monitoring, and engaging with stakeholders.
- Experience in expediting processes for tracking orders and managing supplier deliveries to ensure timely procurement of materials and services.
- Skilled in organizing and conducting inspections alongside documenting quality and compliance checks.
- Expertise in logistics management relevant to resource coordination and material handling within project environments.
- Background in fire, security, construction, or technical services project management is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
- Able to independently manage multiple projects efficiently while working in a hybrid work model.
- Proficient with project management software tools and standard office applications; knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance standards.
- Formal qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Business, or related disciplines are preferred.
- Dedication to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and ethical conduct on all projects.
