About the Role
Join WSP's Water team in Christchurch as a Project Manager, playing a key role in managing multidisciplinary projects from inception through completion. You'll combine technical expertise, business acumen, and a delivery-focused approach while collaborating with local and national teams. Your responsibilities include overseeing projects to maintain budget, schedule, and quality, forging strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, managing project teams and subcontractors, and effectively communicating project progress.
Responsibilities
In addition to project leadership, you'll promote best practices in project management and quality within the Water sector, mentor junior Project Managers, and support technical tasks including investigations, feasibility studies, design development, and project documentation.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, project management, or a related discipline.
- Hold a minimum of six years of professional experience in engineering, infrastructure, or related fields.
- Demonstrate successful delivery of multidisciplinary projects managing scope, schedule, budget, risk, and client relations.
- Have prior experience in the Water sector preferred; professional services consultancy or infrastructure delivery background is advantageous.
- Understand New Zealand contract forms including NZS 3910; relevant project management certification or accreditation is desirable.
- Possess a current, clean driver’s licence.
