Project Manager - Temporary Power and Cooling (PDR)

About the Role

Join Aggreko as a Project Manager - PDR based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, overseeing the delivery of engineered temporary power and HVAC cooling projects across the Middle East. You will be responsible for managing the entire project lifecycle from planning and engineering design through to mobilisation, installation, commissioning, operations, and demobilisation. Ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to Aggreko and client standards will be critical.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive delivery of temporary power and cooling projects, overseeing scope, timeline, budget, risk, and resource allocation.
• Manage engineering design reviews, equipment choice, logistics, and site preparations for installation and commissioning phases.
• Control project finances, including cost and revenue management to achieve P&L objectives.
• Review and manage contracts, proposals, and variation orders to safeguard commercial interests.
• Direct and develop cross-functional teams comprising project engineers, technicians, and subcontractors, serving as the main client liaison.
• Implement risk management to identify and mitigate project threats, ensuring high-quality technical documentation such as P&IDs, SLDs, RAMS, and method statements.
• Ensure full adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, plus Aggreko policies and local authority requirements on all sites.

Success Measures

• Projects executed safely, punctually, and within budget, meeting P&L targets.
• Compliance with Aggreko and local QHSE standards, with zero preventable incidents.
• High customer satisfaction and alignment with stakeholders, fostering repeat business opportunities.
• Timely and precise technical document delivery and efficient contract and variation order management.
• Strong leadership and staff development for engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.
• Proactive risk identification and management in line with Aggreko's protocols.

Candidate Profile

• HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering field; PMP certification is a plus.
• Between 2 and 5 years of project management experience, particularly with large-scale multi-megawatt temporary power or cooling projects in the Middle East.
• Competent in MS Project, Excel, and other standard project management software.
• Awareness of industrial engineering QHSE procedures and risk assessments such as RA, JSA, MS, HAZOP, HAZID, and PTSW.
• Thorough technical understanding of temporary power generation, electrical distribution, and cooling technologies combined with commercial acumen for budget and contract handling.
• Possession of a full valid driving license with flexibility to travel frequently and work weekends or public holidays to meet project deadlines.
