Project Manager - IT

About the Role

This position requires managing resources efficiently, mitigating risks, and tracking project timelines to ensure seamless delivery of technology-focused projects at Emirates Flight Catering in Dubai. The individual serves as the focal communication link among stakeholders such as clients, vendors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement IT Project Office strategies, processes, methodologies, and industry best practices to guarantee successful IT project delivery.
• Supervise and optimize resource allocation among IT projects to maximize efficiency.
• Develop project schedules, timelines, and milestones using tools like Monday.com and Jira, ensuring projects meet deadlines, budgets, and quality expectations.
• Monitor IT project office and individual project performance via metrics and KPIs; produce progress reports, proposals, requirement documents, and presentations to facilitate communication and decision-making.
• Work closely with stakeholders to manage project scope changes proactively and create contingency plans for identified risks.
• Foster and maintain strong business relationships with external clients and internal teams to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
• Lead the IT project team by delegating tasks, resolving conflicts, motivating members, and overseeing projects for accountability and success.
• Coordinate integration efforts for new or existing applications, infrastructure, and digital transformation initiatives by aligning objectives, managing stakeholder involvement, assessing risks, and providing necessary training and support.
• Conduct post-project evaluations and prepare recommendation reports to analyze project outcomes.
• Manage project budgets to ensure adherence to financial limits while maximizing value from technology investments.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's or master's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Certifications such as PRINCE2, Agile, or PMP are advantageous.
• At least 7 years of experience managing IT projects successfully.
• Expertise in IT project management methodologies and software tools.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage resources effectively in dynamic environments.
• Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational capabilities, attention to detail, and aptitude for multitasking.
• Hands-on knowledge of project management platforms like Monday.com, MS Project, or JIRA.
