Project Manager - Gas Pipeline Projects

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager (Project In-Charge) to lead gas pipeline projects across multiple locations in India. This is a full-time, site-based role involving end-to-end management from planning to final handover.

Primary Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute all phases of gas pipeline projects including laying MDPE/PE pipelines, fusion/jointing, GI pipelines, and customer connections.
• Supervise manpower, materials, machinery, and contractors across various project sites.
• Track project progress on daily, weekly, and monthly intervals, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met efficiently.
• Oversee critical activities such as pressure testing, leakage repairs, commissioning, purging, and gas-in-service processes.
• Collaborate closely with clients, third-party inspectors (TPI), contractors, supervisors, and governmental authorities to ensure smooth operations.
• Implement and enforce safety standards, work permits, quality protocols, and approved operating procedures.
• Manage site restoration, conduct measurements and inspections, obtain NOCs, and coordinate final handover documentation.
• Validate daily progress reports (DPR), measurements, material consumption, photographs, GPS documentation, testing reports, as-built drawings, and completion certificates.
• Assist in project billing by reconciling executed work quantities, measurements, and reviewing contractor paperwork.
• Prepare and present regular project progress and management reports, utilizing MS Excel for data analysis and documentation.

Candidate Requirements

• At least three years of hands-on experience managing gas pipeline projects.
• Practical expertise in handling MDPE/PE pipelines, GI pipes, LMC/GC, along with testing and commissioning procedures.
• Strong knowledge and experience in site execution, contractor management, and detailed project planning.
• Familiarity with pipeline safety, work permits, and adherence to quality standards.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and general computer applications, with a preference for candidates experienced in project reporting.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to be deployed across various project sites throughout India, accommodating site transfers as needed.

Additional Information

The position offers a monthly salary range of ₹30,000 to ₹40,000. Preference will be given to candidates with direct, hands-on experience in gas pipeline projects.
