Job description
Role Overview
Take charge of projects that bridge technology, operations, and business improvement for a varied Australian business group. As a Business and IT Project Manager, you will lead a broad range of projects from IT site setups to system integrations and business improvement efforts across multiple manufacturing sites and business units.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive medium to large scale Business and IT projects from initial planning to full implementation.
- Collaborate closely with business units, IT professionals, site leadership, and third-party vendors.
- Develop and maintain project plans, monitor milestones, identify and address risks, resolve issues, and report on dependencies.
- Provide succinct and transparent progress updates to senior executives and Steering Committees.
- Diligently foresee potential risks, clear obstacles, and ensure timely project delivery.
- Manage vendor relationships to align deliverables with timelines, quality standards, and budget expectations.
- Facilitate business readiness by supporting communications, training, and user adoption plans.
- Operate effectively within both Agile and Waterfall project management frameworks.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess 5 to 7 years of experience managing Business and IT projects in medium to large organizational environments.
- Demonstrate strong skills in project governance and managing stakeholder relationships.
- Ability to bring clarity and structure to complex project challenges, hold team members accountable, and communicate proficiently at all organizational levels.
- Experience with tools and methodologies such as Jira, Kanban, and structured PMO reporting.
- Exposure to technology integrations, managing projects across multiple sites or regions is a plus.
- Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile project management are highly desirable.
