Project Manager

About the Role

Take charge of a significant digital transformation initiative focused on modernizing registration and licensing services across Queensland. This role offers an opportunity for a seasoned Project Manager to oversee complex projects from inception through to delivery, operating within a PRINCE2 and Agile framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage projects comprehensively concerning scope, timelines, budgets, quality benchmarks, and the realization of benefits.
• Oversee project governance, ensure assurance standards, generate reports, and manage risks, issues, and interdependencies.
• Coordinate delivery teams, working groups, resource allocation, and engagement with senior stakeholders.
• Develop plans addressing project execution, communication, change management, and benefit realization.
• Ensure delivery of tangible outcomes across complex technology and digital transformation initiatives.

Highly Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrated expertise in complex digital transformation efforts including legacy system modernization.
• Experience leading projects within government or heavily regulated sectors.
• Practical knowledge and application of PRINCE2 and Agile methodologies throughout project lifecycles.
• Familiarity with project tools including Microsoft Project, Jira, and Confluence.

Additional Preferred Criteria

• Possession of Scrum Master certification or equivalent Agile delivery credentials.
• Experience spanning both public and private sector environments.
• Proven success with extensive technology transformation programs.

Required Skills and Credentials

• Possession of a current PRINCE2 Practitioner certification.
• A strong history of managing projects from start to finish effectively.
• Proven capability in leading complex projects within governmental or regulated settings.
• Managing project budgets, resources, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder relationships.
• Capability in delivering large-scale transformation projects, including migrations from legacy platforms to modern solutions.
