Role Overview

The Project Estimator role requires a detail-oriented individual skilled in cost projections, material takeoffs, and vendor interactions. Responsibilities include preparing accurate bids, performing quantity and cost analyses, developing budgets, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure project success. The role leverages industry software to optimize estimating accuracy and utilizes historical cost data for pricing and productivity insights.

Responsibilities

  • Generate precise and thorough cost estimates for construction projects.
  • Conduct detailed quantity takeoffs and perform cost analyses.
  • Establish and maintain project budgets ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Work collaboratively with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Use specialized estimating software tools to enhance process efficiency and accuracy.
  • Analyze past cost data to guide scope, pricing, and productivity strategies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
  • At least five years’ professional experience in construction estimation.
  • Competency in software such as Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Effective communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
