Role Overview

The Project Engineer will oversee the planning, coordination, and supporting execution of pipeline pigging and inline inspection (ILI) projects, ensuring safe and efficient delivery from handover to completion within the Saudi Arabian operational base in Dammam.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage pipeline pigging and ILI project plans from start to finish.
• Analyze project scopes, technical specifications, drawings, and client requirements to ensure readiness for execution.
• Create execution plans, method statements, risk assessments, procedures, and related documentation.
• Coordinate with internal teams including Operations, Tool Management, Logistics, HSE, Data Analysis, and Procurement.
• Track project timelines, mobilization, resource allocation, and milestone achievements.
• Support field activities such as launching, receiving, cleaning, gauging, calibrating, and inspection runs.
• Ensure preparation of pigging and inspection tools, ancillary equipment, and consumables conform to project needs.
• Manage third-party services like nitrogen pumping, compressors, cleaning services, cranes, and temporary facilities.
• Participate in kick-off meetings, technical discussions, and client engagements, following up on action items.
• Prepare various progress, operational, technical, and correspondence reports daily.
• Monitor project expenses versus budgets and promptly escalate deviations.
• Guarantee adherence to PIPECARE QHSE standards, risk controls, and client safety protocols throughout execution phases.
• Assist troubleshooting of operational challenges such as stuck tools or communication failures.
• Collaborate with Data Analysis to ensure secure and accurate data transfer and reporting.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation including records, lessons learned, correspondence, approvals, and close-out files.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
• At least two years of pertinent experience in project engineering, operations planning, pipeline services, oil and gas, or EPC contracting.
• Familiarity with pipeline pigging and inline inspection techniques, equipment, project documents, and field execution.
• Preference for experience on ADNOC Onshore or Offshore projects with understanding of their documentation standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and project reporting software at an intermediate level.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; knowledge of the local language is beneficial.
• Willing and able to travel extensively to support site operations as required.
• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds; mobility for working in refinery or plant environments including climbing ladders and stairs.
• Effective communication skills and capacity to multitask and maintain focus under operational conditions.
• Compliance with safety equipment requirements in manufacturing or field environments.
