Project Director

Role Overview

MOBCO Group seeks an accomplished Project Director for leadership of significant construction ventures in Saudi Arabia. This role demands over 25 years of solid construction industry expertise, emphasizing projects in hospitality (hotels), mosques, and intricate high-quality finishing endeavors.

Key Duties

• Command the end-to-end project journey from initial planning through execution to final handover and closure.
• Oversee sizeable building projects with a focus on hotels, mosques, and luxurious finishing tasks.
• Direct architectural finishes, fit-outs, interior detailing, MEP integration, façade development, and related construction operations.
• Create and supervise strategies for project execution, schedules, budgeting, resource allocation, and procurement demands.
• Ensure adherence to design plans, quality benchmarks, health, safety, and environmental standards, along with Saudi regulatory mandates.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, project managers, and internal teams to ensure project seamlessness.
• Track progress, detect risks or delays, and implement corrective strategies to maintain timelines.
• Handle project financials including cost, cash flow, variations, claims, contracts, and overall commercial success with coordination from relevant departments.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams spanning construction, engineering, planning, procurement, quality, and commercial functions.
• Ensure thorough coordination of civil, architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines, focusing on finishing and project closure phases.
• Oversee inspections, snag identification, defect correction, testing and commissioning, culminating in successful delivery.
• Generate and deliver comprehensive reports on progress, risks, costs, and performance to executive management.
• Cultivate and strengthen client and consultant relationships, ensuring superior client satisfaction.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an accredited institution.
• More than 25 years of professional exposure in construction.
• Essential practical experience managing hospitality projects, notably hotels and upscale developments.
• Thorough expertise in finishing works, architectural finishing, interior fit-outs, and project completion phases.
• Track record managing major projects including mosques and other complex constructions.
• Prior appointments as Project Director or comparable senior project leadership roles.
• Comprehensive knowledge of project planning, budgeting, cost management, contracts, procurement, and construction processes.
• Strong comprehension of drawings, specifications, quality control, HSE regulations, and execution frameworks.
• Exceptional leadership, negotiation, decision-making, team building, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Current residency in Saudi Arabia, with familiarity of local construction markets, legal requirements, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
