Project Director

About the Role

MOBCO Construction is looking for a highly seasoned Project Director to spearhead the execution of major construction initiatives in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This senior position demands an individual with over 25 years of expertise in civil engineering or architecture, coupled with a successful record of managing mega and giga projects such as shopping malls, luxury hotels, and high-rise towers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the comprehensive execution of large-scale construction projects from initial conception through to final handover.
• Manage and coordinate efforts between project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and onsite management.
• Ensure projects are completed within the allocated budgets, schedules, while maintaining quality and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) standards.
• Supervise all phases including planning, design coordination, procurement, construction, finishing, commissioning, and project closure.
• Control stakeholder relations, project risks, allocation of resources, and project control mechanisms.
• Provide strategic leadership and expert technical advice throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture; a master's degree is preferred.
• At least 25 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry.
• Mandatory background in mega or giga scale projects, with preference for experience within Saudi Arabia.
• Extensive involvement in delivering complex developments such as malls, luxury hotels, and high-rise buildings.
• Proven capability to lead large multidisciplinary teams and manage accelerated project timelines.
• In-depth knowledge of construction practices, contract management, project controls, and commercial operations.
• Understanding of Saudi building regulations and international construction codes.
• Exceptional leadership, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Possession of PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage.
• Competency in Arabic language is considered beneficial.
