About the Role

Bahaar Foundation is executing a major Community Health Entrepreneur (CHE) initiative in Punjab, aiming to establish 6000 CHEs across villages in two years. These local women will become primary health access points offering preventive, promotive, and basic curative services through cooperation with government and private entities. The Project Coordinator acts as the district-level operational leader managing CHE activations, onboarding, training, supervision, stakeholder collaborations, and performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and onboard Community Health Entrepreneurs.
  • Coordinate training sessions and build capacity among CHEs.
  • Provide continuous support and mentorship to field workers.
  • Engage with government agencies, stakeholders, and partner organisations to foster program success.
  • Monitor performance and prepare reports to ensure effective program delivery.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Graduate degree in Social Work, Public Health, Rural Development, or related disciplines; postgraduate degree is advantageous.
  • At least 5 years’ professional experience in community development, public health, women’s empowerment, or livelihood initiatives.
  • Minimum 3 years in field coordination handling multiple blocks/districts, preferably with experience working alongside ASHA, ANM, SHG, or similar community health or livelihood workers.

Skills

  • Proficient coordination and field management capabilities.
  • Effective problem-solving aptitude.
  • Excellent communication skills in Punjabi and Hindi; English is preferred.
  • Comfortable with digital tools, mobile applications, and MS Office for reporting purposes.
  • Ability to travel extensively, up to 15–20 days per month.

Additional Details

  • Employment type: Full-time contractual position based at the District Headquarters in Punjab.
  • Working six days per week with required travel up to 20 days monthly.
  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience and sector standards.
  • Reimbursement of travel and fieldwork expenses according to organizational policies.
