Job description
Position Overview
Based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this role requires overseeing every aspect of ISP project activities to guarantee timely and budget-compliant delivery while maintaining scope integrity. The role demands meticulous schedule management, cost oversight, and performance tracking to aid strategic decision-making.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and supervise comprehensive ISP project timelines covering stages such as planning, design, excavation, duct placement, cable installation, splicing, equipment setup, rack assembly, patching, testing, and final delivery.
- Monitor progress daily and weekly against baseline schedules, identify deviations, and propose remediation or recovery strategies for ISP tasks.
- Oversee all project facets to ensure adherence to scope, schedule, and financial limits.
- Manage scope adjustments, including modifications to routes, quantity differences, BOQ updates, and equipment changes through thorough change control procedures.
- Compile and maintain detailed project budgets, BOQs, CAPEX and OPEX plans, and comprehensive cost control documentation for ISP operations.
- Perform cost variance assessments, budget trend analyses, earned value evaluations, and cash flow forecasting.
- Verify quantity data before invoicing and ensure accuracy across all reporting platforms.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, design, surveying, permitting, and implementation teams to confirm readiness before field and facility executions.
- Supervise vendor productivity, resource distribution, and overall performance to align with project goals.
- Track status of materials including fiber cables, ducts, chambers, ODFs, racks, patch panels, active equipment, and power systems to avoid delays.
- Ensure consistency among field progress, ISP installation status, and system records such as ERP or client portals, enforcing strict data integrity.
- Prepare progress and financial reports aligned with KPIs on weekly and monthly bases for clients and internal teams.
- Create and update Power BI dashboards and excel-based visual reports for managerial review.
- Facilitate automation of reporting workflows to boost accuracy, efficiency, and transparency.
- Identify, document, and communicate risks, performance gaps, and operational discrepancies within OSP and ISP activities, supporting corrective measures.
- Produce executive summaries, presentations, and insightful reports for decision-making purposes.
- Engage in continuous improvement efforts through data analytics, visualization, and KPI monitoring.
- Track critical KPIs such as installation rates versus targets, testing and acceptance ratios, progress of equipment installations, and rejection statistics.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
- At least five years of professional experience in project control, cost management, or reporting within the Telecom ISP field.
- In-depth knowledge of project budgeting, CAPEX and OPEX planning, and cost control techniques.
- Proficiency with Power BI, advanced Excel functions including pivot tables, formulas and data modeling, and other reporting/visualization software.
- Experience in data management, automation of reporting, and project performance measurement.
- Familiarity with project scheduling tools and database platforms for monitoring and analysis.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, exceptional attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills capable of explaining intricate project data succinctly.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work efficiently under pressure, and meet deadlines while upholding precision.
- Proven teamwork skills, flexibility, and a willingness to share knowledge within multidisciplinary project teams.
