Program Manager

Role Overview

This role demands a seasoned Program Manager with over 15 years of professional experience, including at least a decade focused on banking transformation within leading investment banks. The individual will take charge of executing the bank's strategic initiatives, particularly in establishing and scaling products, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and systems across various countries. Their leadership will ensure that expansion aligns with regulatory guidelines, risk management, and governance while promoting sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the full lifecycle of international expansion projects through multiple jurisdictions.
• Develop and implement strategies for market entry progression, from representative offices to branches and subsidiaries.
• Integrate expansion plans with overall business growth, product capabilities, and market positioning.
• Spearhead regulatory interactions across regions including licensing, approvals, and ongoing supervision.
• Guarantee adherence to local regulatory requirements as well as international standards.
• Fulfill all regulatory obligations and manage remediation when necessary.
• Operate consistently with fitness and propriety standards.
• Coordinate and align the three lines of defense: business ownership, risk and compliance oversight, and internal audit assurance.
• Lead complex, multi-nation programs ensuring strong governance practices.
• Handle cross-functional collaboration among Legal, Compliance, Risk, Operations, and Technology departments.
• Deliver concise reporting and assurance to Executive Committee and Board members.
• Oversee financial aspects including investment cases, return on investment, payback timelines, and capital impact related to international expansion.
• Balance ambitions for growth against regulatory and capital limitations.

Experience Requirements

• More than 15 years managing major banking transformation projects.
• Demonstrated track record in driving international expansion through various forms such as branches, subsidiaries, and representative offices.
• Extensive exposure to regulatory frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.
• Practical experience working within the three lines of defense framework.
• Proven success in regulatory engagement and navigating audits.

Educational and Certification Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• Possession of at least two certifications among PMP, PRINCE2, or SAFe is required.
