Role Overview

The Professional Tailor will be engaged full-time at the Fecund Brands & Tailoring premises in Doha, Qatar. Core duties encompass taking precise body measurements, cutting and stitching garments, performing alterations, and overseeing quality control to confirm garment fit and finish meet company standards. The position involves working with diverse fabric types and following detailed pattern or design specifications, along with advising clients on style, fit, and garment maintenance. Additional responsibilities include upkeep of tools and machinery, organization of the workspace, and teamwork to ensure deadlines and quality expectations are fulfilled. Consistent, courteous customer interaction and safeguarding client confidentiality are crucial aspects of the job.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient technical tailoring skills such as measuring, cutting, sewing, fitting, and garment alterations.
• Experience handling various fabrics and materials while accurately following patterns or design instructions.
• Strong focus on detail and quality, ensuring neat finishes, lasting construction, and perfect fitting garments.
• Good communication skills for understanding client requirements and providing fitting or style advice.
• Background in professional tailoring, fashion, or garment manufacturing is preferred; formal tailoring or fashion design education/certification is advantageous.
• Effective time management abilities with capacity to manage multiple orders and meet demanding deadlines.
• Physical stamina to stand long hours and safely execute manual tailoring tasks; compliance with health and safety regulations and workplace policies.
• Commitment to working on-site in Doha and maintaining respectful collaboration within a diverse team.
