Production Senior Operator

Job Overview

The Production Senior Operator is responsible for preparing and operating printing machinery according to factory job tickets and manuals to ensure high-quality output. This role involves setting up machines, verifying print samples, monitoring the production process, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of equipment and premises.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare upcoming jobs based on factory job tickets and Machine Process Control Cards (MPCCs).
• Pour the correct ink prepared by the ink section for printing purposes.
• Compare print samples with chromalin or approved samples to ensure quality standards.
• Start the machine and provide samples for Quality Control verification to secure order start-up approval.
• Set machine parameters according to MPCC guidelines.
• Complete production reports detailing the printing process and outcomes.
• Monitor the printing process, checking impressions, registration, and ink properties to maintain quality.
• Suggest methods to improve machine performance to the section head.
• Troubleshoot any machine problems and report major issues to the section head.
• Maintain cleanliness of machines and surrounding premises at all times.
• Provide appropriate support to the subsequent production team to ensure seamless handover.
• Implement Integrated Management System (IMS) protocols and resolve findings related to the production function.
• Notify the head of department about any IMS-related problems.
