Maintenance Technician

Job Overview

As a Maintenance Technician at Napco National in Dammam, your key role will be to carry out repair and maintenance tasks assigned by the Maintenance Team Leader, following established work instructions and machine manuals to restore equipment functionality. This position requires active collaboration with the technical team, proper documentation of maintenance activities, and adherence to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to repair requests from the Maintenance Team Leader and execute repairs precisely as per work instructions and machinery guidelines to ensure optimal machine operation.
• Seek support from Lead Technicians or Team Leaders when troubleshooting complex breakdowns.
• Initiate spare parts requests by completing Requisition Forms and obtain pre-approval from the Maintenance Team Leader to regulate parts usage.
• Complete cleaning tasks of work areas post-repair in compliance with post-maintenance cleaning procedures to maintain a clean work environment.
• Record repair completion details including finishing time, task notes, any outstanding work, and additional findings on the Repair Request Form.
• Secure feedback and approval on completed repair work from the Production Team Leader before forwarding documentation to the Maintenance Team Leader.
• Conduct scheduled and preventive maintenance tasks based on checklists provided by the Maintenance Team Leader, and report new issues for scheduling consideration.
• Perform in-house calibration activities under instructions of the Maintenance Team Leader adhering to the calibration work instructions.
• Carry out 5S duties according to the 5S plan to improve workplace organization and conditions.

Safety Obligations

• Comply fully with health, safety procedures, and company norms as well as applicable Saudi labor regulations.
• Participate in occupational health and safety (OH&S) meetings and training sessions provided by the company.
• Report any unsafe conditions, incidents, or near misses promptly to supervisors or camp management if related to accommodation areas.
• Address unsafe conditions immediately where feasible and safe.
• Ensure all safety precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE) are correctly used before commencing work.
• Refuse to work under unsafe conditions and report incidents as required.
• Inspect all tools, equipment, and vehicles prior to usage and understand emergency procedures and safety equipment locations.

Work Dynamics

• Coordinate internally with the entire Maintenance Team.
• Liaise externally with all Production Departments and Spare Parts Store.

Qualifications and Competencies

• Basic literacy and numeracy skills are essential.
• Technical Institute certification or equivalent is preferred.
• Physically fit and capable of working in high-pressure environments.
• Flexibility to work alternating shifts is required.
