Job description
Role Overview
The role involves overseeing production planning and execution to meet daily targets while ensuring efficient shop floor operations, quality standards, and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise daily production schedules aligned with order backlogs.
- Identify and address production bottlenecks to minimize equipment downtime.
- Maintain high manufacturing quality and adhere to safety protocols.
- Keep accurate records of Bill of Materials (BOM), routing details, and inventory within the ERP system.
- Utilize ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics to monitor work-in-progress and track material usage.
- Prepare reports on production performance, analyze variances, and produce material requirement plans.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles to reduce waste and enhance cycle efficiency.
- Work closely with design and quality assurance teams to resolve non-conformance reports (NCRs) related to manufacturing defects.
