Position Overview and Responsibilities
The role of MDM Executive primarily focuses on comprehensive vendor master data management within the ERP system. This includes processing requests for vendor creation, amendments, extension, and deactivation while rigorously validating all related documentation. Ensuring the integrity, precision, and consistency of vendor data is critical, as well as maintaining thorough documentation and audit trails.
- Manage full lifecycle of vendor master data including creation, updates, extensions, and deactivation.
- Validate vendor details and associated documents prior to processing changes.
- Maintain accuracy, completeness, and consistency of vendor data records.
- Document all modifications with appropriate audit trails for transparency and compliance.
Data governance and control mechanisms form a key aspect, where adherence to policies, SOPs, and approval workflows related to vendor data is essential. The incumbent will perform routine data reviews and cleansing to prevent duplicates or erroneous entries and support the enforcement of controls such as maker-checker processes.
- Enforce compliance with vendor master data policies and standard operating procedures.
- Identify and mitigate duplicate, incomplete, or inaccurate vendor records.
- Conduct periodic cleansing and validation of vendor master data.
- Assist in implementing checks and controls including maker-checker systems to safeguard data integrity.
Effective collaboration is required with various internal teams to address vendor-related data queries, follow up on missing documentation, and ensure timely request resolution.
- Liaise with cross-functional departments to fulfill vendor data requirements.
- Resolve vendor master data-related queries promptly to avoid delays.
- Track and follow up on incomplete documentation or information submissions.
In addition, responsibilities include maintaining management information systems (MIS) focusing on vendor data metrics such as creation status, modifications, pending requests, and quality benchmarks. Monitoring service level agreements (SLAs), suggesting process enhancements, supporting automation, and contributing to ERP or system improvements are also integral duties.
- Generate and manage MIS reports related to vendor master data operations.
- Monitor turnaround times and ensure compliance with established SLAs.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to streamline vendor data management.
- Contribute to master data projects and support ERP or process system enhancements.
Educational Qualification
