Job Description and Responsibilities

• Monitor machine or process parameters closely, documenting them and initiating corrective measures as needed to maintain operational control.
• Conduct sampling inspections according to the established quality plan to ensure product conformity to specifications.
• Manage and process non-conforming products based on quality plan requirements.
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues to ensure continuous production flow.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of machines and work areas to foster a neat working environment.
• Update machine PMS satellite systems accurately with component lot numbers, shift output, wastage, and downtime data.
• Execute product and machine changeovers by clearing previous batch remnants, changing materials, tools, dies, performing minor setups, and logging changes into the PMS satellite.
• Engage in daily shift changeover meetings to review and discuss team performance.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks such as lubricating bearings and gears, cleaning ink pumps and dies.
• Participate in monthly team meetings focusing on performance metrics like stoppages, quality issues, and output achievements.
• Contribute to team projects including data collection on stoppages and quality assessment.
• Support Technical Specialists with major preventive maintenance efforts and project enhancements such as installation of modified machine components.
• Assist in departmental goals through Kaizen submissions, team-building exercises, safety initiatives, and environmental efforts.
• Coordinate shift activities including resource allocation, manpower coverage, and training of new personnel.
• Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes.
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance by following company rules, actively preventing hazards, and promoting resource recycling and reduction.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned.

Location and Shift

The position is based at BD’s Tuas Plant in Singapore, operating on the 12D (night) shift schedule.
