Role Overview

The Business Development Manager for Pharmacy Automation will focus on identifying and capitalizing on strategic opportunities that boost market presence, revenue, and customer engagement in the healthcare industry, specifically within pharmacy automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Discover, cultivate, and secure new business ventures in designated markets and regions.
• Create and implement business development plans that align with corporate growth goals.
• Establish and sustain robust connections with healthcare providers, government agencies, distributors, and decision-makers.
• Promote market growth initiatives through customer acquisition, product uptake, and deeper market penetration.
• Work together with sales, marketing, clinical, regulatory, and service teams to tailor solutions centered on customer needs.
• Lead commercial negotiations, contract agreements, and partnerships.
• Analyze market trends, competitor actions, industry changes, and client requirements for growth insights.
• Develop and present detailed business proposals and value propositions.
• Assist in managing bids and contribute to strategic initiatives as needed.
• Maintain and update opportunity pipelines and produce consistent business forecasts utilizing CRM platforms.
• Engage customers via executive meetings, workshops, and business evaluations.
• Adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
• Generate and present routine performance reports to senior leadership.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, Healthcare Management, or relevant discipline.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in business development, sales, account management, or strategic marketing in healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceutical, or life sciences sectors.
• Proven history of generating revenue growth and establishing strategic client relationships.
• Experience collaborating with healthcare institutions, government bodies, procurement entities, and private healthcare groups.
• Deep knowledge of healthcare market operations, reimbursement frameworks, and procurement protocols.
• Skilled in navigating complex sales processes and business negotiations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Strong analytical, financial acumen and strategic business planning skills.
• Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce.com) for pipeline and forecast management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Ability and willingness to travel when necessary.
