Role Overview
The Production Operator, also known as Manufacturing Associate 2 (MA2), is vital in manufacturing Dexcom's life-enhancing CGM products. The position involves working within a cleanroom setting, handling semi-automated and fully automated machinery to uphold stringent quality, safety, and compliance standards. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing environments who have strong attention to detail and thrive in fast-paced, high-volume production settings.
Working Hours and Shift Pattern
- 12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM
- Four days on, three days off, followed by three days on, four days off rotation
- Working Monday through Wednesday and alternate Thursdays
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and supervise semi-automated and automated production equipment
- Perform manual tasks such as component handling, material loading, and assisting assembly operations
- Execute precise dexterity-based assembly tasks ensuring consistent production output
- Conduct in-process quality checks to maintain product standards
- Complete packaging, labeling, material transfers, and accurate data recording
- Adhere strictly to GMP, SOPs, batch records, and cleanroom procedures, ensuring all documentation is accurate
- Promptly report deviations, defects, or safety issues and contribute to quality and yield objectives
- Collaborate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure seamless shift transitions
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement
- Meet training competency timelines and consistently achieve output and quality KPIs
- Demonstrate dependability, precision, and compliance with standardized processes
Candidate Profile
- Educational attainment of Leaving Certificate or Level 5 equivalent
- Minimum of one year’s experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing sectors
- Excellent attention to detail with ability to follow structured, procedural workmethods
- Comfortable performing repetitive, hands-on assembly operations
- Good computer skills and mechanical aptitude
- Reliable, adaptable, team-focused, and possessing strong communication abilities
- High manual dexterity is essential
- Must be authorized to work in Ireland
- Punctuality and task efficiency are vital
