Role Overview
Located in Cheltenham, this full-time Production Operative position involves working the late shift, Monday through Friday, starting at 16:00 until the end of the shift. The role pays £13.41 per hour after 18:00 and offers a temporary position with potential for permanent employment. The main focus is on hand-finishing and ironing garments and linen to exacting quality standards, requiring impeccable attention to detail. Work Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 16:00 to approximately midnight (evening/night shift)
Key Responsibilities
- Performing hand ironing and finishing work on garments and linen individually
- Ensuring each item complies with strict quality and consistency standards before dispatch
- Accurately counting items and maintaining production records
- Packaging finished goods in preparation for shipment
- Verifying order numbers and customer details carefully
- Maintaining focus on accuracy and consistency throughout the shift
- Adhering strictly to all health and safety protocols
- Keeping workstations clean and orderly
Candidate Qualifications
- Exceptional attention to detail and precision
- Strong capability to work accurately and consistently in an industrial setting
- Good numeracy and confidence in counting stock units
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and quality guidelines
- Dependable and with a committed work ethic
- Prior experience in production, manufacturing, laundry, finishing, or warehouse roles is advantageous but not mandatory
- Willingness to undergo and complete induction and training programs
