About Us

STARK is an innovative defence technology company revolutionizing the deployment of autonomous systems across diverse domains. We design, develop, and manufacture high-performance unmanned systems that are software-driven, scalable, and cost-efficient, giving operators a strategic advantage in contested environments. Our main goal is delivering deployable, top-tier systems that strengthen NATO Allies and Partners' technological edge to deter aggression and secure Europe.

About The Team

The maritime division at STARK leads in pioneering autonomous surface and underwater technology. We create next-generation modular, sensor-enhanced maritime platforms optimized for complex, contested arenas. Collaborating closely with systems engineers, naval architects, and software developers, we emphasize rapid development, technical excellence, and decisive action in all endeavors.

Your Mission

As the Product Manager for Maritime, you will oversee the development of STARK’s software-based maritime capabilities and multi-sensor suites. You will coordinate with System Engineering, Project Delivery, and Operations teams to integrate these systems effectively. Your role involves converting operational requirements into scalable platforms that secure NATO maritime dominance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the comprehensive development lifecycle of software-centric maritime features and mission-critical sensor arrays.
  • Guide the integration of advanced sensors and autonomous software, fostering collaboration across engineering and operational teams.
  • Develop and supervise product testing approaches such as Software-in-the-Loop, Hardware-in-the-Loop, and integrated hardware/software tests aligned with relevant teams.
  • Conduct strategic market research to uncover and capitalize on platform prospects for NATO allied forces.
  • Manage all phases of the product life cycle, from prototype creation to deployment and user approval.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards within the maritime product range.
  • Effectively communicate the product vision and key milestones to stakeholders internally and defence partners externally.

Qualifications

  • Possess a technical qualification, such as in Maritime or Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or comparable experience.
  • Demonstrated track record in managing complex maritime or defence products.
  • Solid grasp of maritime operational practices and sensor integration techniques.
  • Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams and capability to navigate regulatory frameworks.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain UK security clearance.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with naval projects or autonomous/robotic maritime platforms.
  • Background in defence technology or fast-growing aerospace sectors.
  • Familiarity with V-model development combined with agile methodology.
